Amy E. Smith

Amy has a BSN from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles (holding a public health certificate) and a JD from the University of La Verne College of law in La Verne, CA.  She is licensed with the California State Bar as an attorney and the California Board of Registered Nursing.  Amy is experienced in Health Care mediation, coaching and Ombudsman work, with involvement in over 800 cases to date.  She has previously served as Associate General Counsel/Compliance Advocate for a Health Care District.  She is a former prosecutor with experience in private practice (generalist) serving children and families.  Her nursing background (29+ years) includes pediatrics, home health, discharge planning, contracting, ambulatory care and general medical-surgical nursing.  She is published Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery: “Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy, A Case Control Comparative Study with Abdominal Hysterectomy,” with J.E. Carter, MD and Jason Ryoo, MD (1993).  Her passion is helping people navigate the healthcare system to get the care one needs and deserves.  She is currently in nursing management, outpatient surgical services in a large metropolitan integrated healthcare system.

Molly Smith-Olsson

Molly received her Ph.D. in Organization Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. She is an experienced executive coach (17+ years) who uses proven methodologies, tools and approaches to help clients identify personal goals and develop strategies to achieve them. She is skillful at providing an outside perspective on what she is observing, and works with her clients to turn insights into action. She develops strong partnerships with clients to help them achieve their goals and increase levels of commitment and productivity.

Molly collaborates with clients to help them create the results in their life that really matter. Her encouraging questions assist with values clarification and assists clients with improving Emotional Intelligence (EI) skills, which includes the ability to perceive, assess and manage emotions of one’s self, others and groups. The resulting insights and learning are translated to action, and help the client move forward in a clear and purposeful way. 

Molly’s experience includes career coaching, transition coaching, life or personal coaching, personal wellness coaching, executive coaching, and organizational consulting.

She is currently employed with a large integrated healthcare organization. Formerly, she worked for Mercer Delta Consulting, LLP, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in strategic organizational change and executive leadership effectiveness. She has also worked across a variety of industries, including aerospace and retail, both as an internal consultant and in management roles. She spent five years at Blue Shield of California, where she created their Organization Capability department. 

Her passion is her family, including her husband and two girls. She enjoys reading, staying active, traveling, volunteering in her kids’ classrooms, and all sorts of other adventures.

Julie Sarton

In 1996, Julie graduated from the nation's first doctorate program in physical therapy at Creighton University.  In 1991, she earned a bachelor of science degree from Northern Arizona University in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in psychology.  Over the past 8 years, Julie has specialized in women's health physical therapy, evaluating and treating women with pelvic floor dysfunction including sexual dysfunction/painful intercourse, pelvic pain, urinary/fecal incontinence, urgency/frequency and other urogenital syndromes. Many of the women she treats have significant musculoskeletal problems such as low back pain, coccydynia(tailbone pain), sacroiliac joint dysfunction and a weak core.  

Currently, Julie practices out of a major medical center in a large metropolitan area where she is on faculty as an assistant clinical professor and lectures to both physicians and other practitioners in the community.  Additionally, she has lectured on a national level educating physicians about pelvic pain.  To help meet the needs of women seeking treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction, Julie offers an extensive fellowship training program for other PTs pursuing a specialization in women's health.  She recently was published in The Female Patient, and has an upcoming book chapter addressing biomechanical influences on pelvic pain.

Judith Ann Carter

Judith Ann Carter, RN, CCM has been a nurse for 25 years with experience ranging from the Emergency Room to acute care hospital based nursing to extensive Geriatric Case Management. For the past 10 years, Judy has worked in a large medical center heading up a dynamic interdisciplinary team of health care professionals that specialize in the medical and emotional needs of senior patients. Her passion is to help improve the quality of health care for the geriatric patient, maximizing functional abilities and educating families and caregivers in the management of the special needs of this population.
